Valley guttersLead Valley gutters are often the one element of a traditional roof that require simple preventative maintenance such as the removal of debris. Poor maintenance often leads to blockages and subsequent water ingress, which can be costly. In some cases poor design or installation of lead guttering can be the root cause of problems such as : underside corrosion, water ponding due to inadequate falls and water ingress due to incorrect detailing. Lead guttering completedThis valley gutter required a complete rebuild in order to correct inadequate falls and incorrect bay sizing which had caused fatigue cracking in the lead sheet. The completed lead valley gutter was 17 metres long and was retiled using salvaged Kent Peg tiles.
