Bespoke leadwork

Whilst lead is most commonly found on our oldest buildings, its use has grown in popularity on more modern or contemporary buildings. This project won the coveted "Ibstock Downland Prize" for 2007.

Lead sheet offered greater flexibility in design and overall aesthetic when compared to alternative roofing materials.

A modern leadwork application

The vertical clad perimeter disguised an innovative "secrect" box gutter system.

The client was delighted with the finished product and long-term reliability of the roof, given its seaside location in Sandgate.

Innovation

Flat roof panels discharged rainwater into the box gutter which was harvested and recycled for use within the home.
